ZAC Camp Brings Pool Safety Lessons to Greenwich
GREENWICH —A group of 120 Greenwich youths will spend their spring break in the pool, but they won’t just be there to have fun.
ZAC Camp opened for its sixth year Monday morning at the Boys and Girls Club of Greenwich.
The camp, which originated in Greenwich but now operates nationally, is the passion project of the Cohn family. Their six-year-old son Zachary drowned in 2007 when he was swimming in the family’s backyard pool and got his arm stuck in a drain after its improperly installed cover fell off.
