ZAC Camp Teaches St. Louis-area Children Important Water Safety Skills

In July, more than 100 children learned important water safety skills at a ZAC Camp hosted by Boys & Girls Club of Greater St. Louis. The camp took place as the ZAC Foundation hosted its second community roundtable discussion in St. Louis. Water safety advocates, elected officials, public policy and health experts, school officials, families, and community leaders were all in attendance to discuss drowning prevention strategies in their city. As drowning is the leading cause of death for children ages 1 through 4 and the second leading cause of death for children under the age of 14, making sure kids know how to be safe in the water is a crucial first step.
