New details about the Greenwich Town Party parade and other neighborhood notes

More than 130 youngsters recently wrapped up a four-day water safety course organized by The ZAC Foundation and the Boys & Girls Club of Greenwich.

The children — ages 5 to 9 — learned about water safety with instruction both in the classroom and in the pool. Fire Chief Joe McHugh, Police Chief Jim Heavey, Greenwich Emergency Medical Services Operation Manager Erin Richard and others also talked with the children about being safe around water and what to do in an emergency.
