Water Safety Awareness as Summer Approaches
With the unofficial start of summer comes an essential reminder for families: water safety for children is more critical than ever. Megan Ferraro, Executive Director, recently joined NBC10’s Lucy Bustamante to discuss practical tips for keeping kids safe around water this season.
During the conversation, Ferraro highlighted the importance of constant supervision, swim lessons, and creating barriers around water to prevent accidents. As drowning remains one of the leading causes of death for children under 5, Ferraro emphasized that water safety should be a top priority for all caregivers as the summer begins.
