New York Post Highlights Launch of Suffolk County Drowning Prevention Action Plan

The New York Post covered the launch of Suffolk County’s first-ever Drowning Prevention Action Plan, a milestone effort designed to reduce drownings and strengthen water safety education on the eastern end of Long Island.

Collaboration in Action

The ZAC Foundation joined forces with Suffolk County officials, Stony Brook Medicine, and Stop Drowning Now as well local educators and aquatics professionals to develop this groundbreaking plan. The collaboration brought together diverse stakeholders all united around preventing future tragedies.

“Drowning prevention requires coordinated community action, which is exactly what this plan delivers,” The ZAC Foundation co-founder Karen Cohn told The Post.
